It's that time of year again when the garden needs a bit of a tidy and the addition of some plants. I went to a garden centre this morning to get a couple of shrubs and a few annuals for some tubs.

I really would have loved to get some gazinias but the snails decimate them! I got a lovely red rose , a jasmine and some petunias. I also spotted some sage and thyme as I would like to set up a herb tub again (the last one died as the cats kept doing their business in it!).

I have a helper coming on Thursday to do some of the digging as the ground is really hard.

In March 2012, we visited the UK to see friends and family. The first couple of days were spent in Sevenoaks with friends and the weekend was in South Cerney where my parents and brother and family live. Whilst in Sevenoaks, I went to see the musical Ghost in Piccadilly - it was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone - the stage lighting and technical features were fabulous.

On the Saturday it was my parents 61st wedding anniversary so we went to a hotel restaurant for dinner with the family including my brother, his wife, their 2 daughters and partners. We had a very good evening. Here is a couple of pictures -
